Towing Considerations
Although Jayco marketed the Eagle HT line as "half-ton towable," the 1,550-lb dry pin weight means many half-ton trucks run out of payload capacity once passengers, hitch, propane, batteries, and cargo are added. Real-world RV owners frequently advise checking payload ratings carefully and often prefer a ¾-ton truck for a more comfortable towing experience.
